Working With Emotional Neglect: Day Long IFS Consultation Groups

$800.00

10 AM to 4 PM MT | 8 hour session | March 2, March 30, April 13

More opportunities will be available from September through December 2026

Limited to 6 participants

Emotional childhood neglect is one of the most pervasive—and often overlooked—forms of wounding in family systems. Because it is subtle and frequently invisible, its impact can be difficult to recognize, yet it profoundly shapes how clients relate to themselves and others.

This day-long experiential consultation offers an opportunity for healers to deepen their understanding of emotional neglect through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS).

Through teaching, discussion, and experiential practice, participants will strengthen their capacity to recognize and work with the complex legacies of neglect in their clients—and within themselves.

Hours count toward IFS Certification, as Jenny is an Approved IFS Clinical Consultant and Lead Trainer with the IFS Institute.

Together, we’ll explore the parts and protective strategies most often connected with neglect and practice ways to bring clarity, compassion, and Self-leadership into the healing process.

Topics include:

  • Identifying neglect without inducing shame in the external family system

  • Working with dissociation, caretaking tendencies, and hyper-independence

  • Addressing self-criticism, substance use, and process addictions

  • Navigating mistrust of therapy spaces and protectors that guard against vulnerability

This small-group format allows for personal connection, live consultation, and individualized guidance.
